BILAN DES ACTIVITÉS DU CENTRE DABU LACASE 2025 

Créé en novembre 2024, le Centre DabuLaCase s’est rapidement imposé, dès sa première année complète d’activités, comme un acteur dynamique de la valorisation des cultures africaines, de l’éducation interculturelle et du vivre-ensemble. L’année 2025 a ainsi été marquée par une mobilisation remarquable et une programmation riche, témoignant de l’engagement et de la vision du Centre.

👉🏾 Février 2025 – Transmission et mémoire : Dans le cadre du Mois de l’Histoire des Noirs, DabuLaCase a activement contribué à la sensibilisation culturelle et historique :

- Participation à un atelier-conférence sur les valeurs de vie à travers l’art africain, organisé par le groupe Good2Talk, mettant en lumière le rôle éducatif et symbolique de l’art.

- Expositions d’objets d’art africains dans deux écoles du réseau Viamonde, favorisant la découverte culturelle auprès des élèves.

- Présence artistique et culturelle dans le cadre du projet communautaire “Envers du décor”, spécial Mois de l’Histoire des Noirs, soulignant la richesse et la profondeur des héritages africains.

👉🏾 Juillet 2025 – Enfance et transmission

- Organisation du Camp d’été du Village africain des enfants, un espace ludique, éducatif et culturel permettant aux enfants de se reconnecter à leurs racines tout en développant l’ouverture à la diversité.

👉🏾 Août 2025 – Rayonnement culturel

- Participation au Festival multiculturel de Milton, organisé par Akwaba Exchange, célébrant la diversité culturelle.

- Participation au Festival Afrojazz de Milton, organisé par le Centre canadien pour l’unité des familles, mettant en valeur la musique, l’art et l’expression afrodescendante.

👉🏾 Septembre 2025 – Identité et créativité

- Présence au AfroCan Roots and Rhythms Festival à Mississauga, organisé par Afro Roots, un événement phare célébrant les racines africaines à travers la musique, la danse et la culture.

👉🏾 Décembre 2025 – Célébration et partage

- Organisation du Festival d’hiver du Village africain des enfants, un moment festif et rassembleur favorisant le partage intergénérationnel, la solidarité et la transmission culturelle en fin d’année.

Founded in November 2024, the DabuLaCase Center quickly established itself, in its first full year of operation, as a dynamic force in promoting African cultures, intercultural education, and social cohesion. The year 2025 was marked by remarkable engagement and a rich program, reflecting the Center's commitment and vision.

👉🏾 February 2025 – Transmission and Remembrance: As part of Black History Month, DabuLaCase actively contributed to cultural and historical awareness:

- Participation in a workshop-conference on life values ​​through African art, organized by the Good2Talk group, highlighting the educational and symbolic role of art.

- Exhibitions of African art objects in two schools within the Viamonde network, fostering cultural discovery among students.

- Artistic and cultural presence as part of the community project “Behind the Scenes,” a special Black History Month event highlighting the richness and depth of African heritage.

👉🏾 July 2025 – Childhood and Transmission

Organization of the African Children’s Village Summer Camp, a fun, educational, and cultural space allowing children to reconnect with their roots while developing an openness to diversity.

👉🏾 August 2025 – Cultural Outreach

- Participation in the Milton Multicultural Festival, organized by Akwaba Exchange, celebrating cultural diversity.

- Participation in the Milton Afrojazz Festival, organized by the Canadian Centre for Family Unity, showcasing Afro-descendant music, art, and expression.

👉🏾 September 2025 – Identity and Creativity

- Participation in the AfroCan Roots and Rhythms Festival in Mississauga, organized by Afro Roots, a flagship event celebrating African roots through music, dance, and culture.

👉🏾 December 2025 – Celebration and Sharing

- Organization of the Winter Festival at the African Children's Village, a festive and unifying event promoting intergenerational sharing, solidarity, and cultural transmission at the end of the year.

AFRICAN CHILDREN'S VILLAGE SUMMER CAMP| CAMP D'ÉTÉ DU VILLAGE AFRICAN DES ENFANTS 

DabuLaCase Centre and all the children at « Le Village des Enfants » summer camp would like to extend our sincere thanks to Master Percussionist @Amadou Kienou for the inspiring workshop you led on July 10, 2025, at Sunnyside Park in Toronto. Your generosity, energy, and talent touched the hearts of the young participants.

Thanks to you, our children were able to discover and experience the richness of our African culture and heritage through music, rhythm, and spoken word.

You sowed seeds of pride, curiosity, and openness that will continue to grow long after this day.

MILTON AFRICAN MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL | FESTIVAL AFRICAN MULTICULTUREL DE MILTON 

Le samedi 9 août 2025, notre équipe a eu le plaisir d’animer le Village Africain dans le cadre du Milton African Multicultural Festival. Ce fut un moment privilégié d’échanges culturels, où nous avons pu mettre en lumière et partager les valeurs de vie portées par nos articles artistiques et musicaux.

Les visiteurs ont découvert, à travers nos œuvres, la richesse et la profondeur des traditions africaines, ainsi que l’histoire et les messages qu’elles véhiculent. L’atmosphère chaleureuse et festive a favorisé des rencontres inspirantes, rythmées par la musique, les sourires et la convivialité. Une véritable célébration de l’unité dans la diversité !

THE CHILDREN'S AFRICAN VILLAGE WINTER FESTIVAL | LE FESTIVAL D'HIVER DU VILLAGE AFRICAIN DES ENFANTS 

Le Festival d’hiver du Village africain des enfants 2025 a prouvé que la diversité est une richesse qui se cultive dès l’enfance.

À travers le mélange des cultures, le partage des traditions et la joie des enfants de toutes origines, le Centre DaBu la Case a semé des graines de respect, d’unité et d’avenir. Là où les cultures se rencontrent, les cœurs grandissent ensemble. Samedi 27 décembre 2025

DON DU COLLÈGE BORÉAL DE TORONTO | DONATION FROM COLLÈGE BORÉAL OF TORONTO

Le Centre Dabu LaCase,a reçu un don généreux en nature offert par le Collège Boréal de Toronto le 25 Juin 2025 afin de soutenir les enfants participant à notre camp d’été gratuit « Le Village des Enfants », qui aura lieu le 10 juillet 2025, de 9 h à 16 h au parc Sunnyside, 1755 Lake Shore Blvd, Toronto.

GRAND MERCI AU Collège Boréal. PLUS DE 60 ENFANTS DE 6-13 ANS PARTICIPANTS ! 

The Dabu LaCase Centre received a generous in-kind donation from Collège Boréal in Toronto on June 25, 2025, to support children attending our free summer camp, "Le Village des Enfants," which will take place on July 10, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sunnyside Park, 1755 Lake Shore Blvd, Toronto.

The Children’s Village and Museum welcomed families, youth, and visitors of all backgrounds to experience African culture through storytelling, art, music, and interactive displays. It served not only as a cultural showcase but also as a meeting place where people from around the world came together to share, learn, and connect
