Le centre Dabu LaCase célèbre l'histoire des noirs avec les jeunes étudiants du secondaire | The Dabu LaCase Center celebrates Black history with young high school students
Le lundi 23 février 2025, les élèves de 7e et 8e année de l’École secondaire Étienne-Brûlé ont vécu une expérience immersive sur la culture africaine dans le cadre du Mois de l’histoire des Noirs, grâce au Centre DABU LaCase. Dans un décor inspiré d’un village traditionnel, ils ont fabriqué leur propre djembé et découvert sa signification culturelle en Afrique de l’Ouest. Les élèves ont aussi participé à la construction d’une case de campement symbolisant l’accueil et la vie communautaire. L’activité s’est poursuivie avec un atelier de percussion animé par l’artiste Siaka Diabaté, suivi de démonstrations de balafon et de kora. Cette journée riche en découvertes a offert aux jeunes une immersion culturelle marquante, alliant apprentissage, créativité et fierté identitaire. | On Monday, February 23, 2025, Grade 7 and 8 students at École secondaire Étienne-Brûlé participated in an immersive African cultural experience as part of Black History Month, thanks to the DABU LaCase Centre. In a setting inspired by a traditional village, they crafted their own djembe drums and learned about its cultural significance in West Africa. The students also helped build a traditional encampment hut, symbolizing hospitality and community life. The activity continued with a percussion workshop led by artist Siaka Diabaté, followed by balafon and kora demonstrations. This enriching day provided the students with a memorable cultural immersion, combining learning, creativity, and a sense of cultural pride.

Le samedi 9 août 2025, l’équipe du Centre DABU LaCase a animé le village africain lors du Milton African Multicultural Festival. Cet événement a permis de partager les valeurs et la richesse des traditions africaines à travers des œuvres artistiques et musicales. Les visiteurs ont découvert la profondeur culturelle et les messages portés par ces créations dans une ambiance chaleureuse et festive. La musique, les échanges et la convivialité ont fait de cette activité une belle célébration de l’unité dans la diversité! | On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the DABU LaCase Centre team brought the African village to life during the Milton African Multicultural Festival. This event provided an opportunity to share the values and richness of African traditions through artistic and musical works. Visitors discovered the cultural depth and messages conveyed by these creations in a warm and festive atmosphere. The music, the exchanges, and the conviviality made this activity a beautiful celebration of unity in diversity.

Le Festival d’hiver du Village africain des enfants 2025 a prouvé que la diversité est une richesse qui se cultive dès l’enfance. À travers le mélange des cultures, le partage des traditions et la joie des enfants de toutes origines, le Centre DaBu la Case a semé des graines de respect, d’unité et d’avenir. Là où les cultures se rencontrent, les cœurs grandissent ensemble. Samedi 27 décembre 2025 | The 2025 Winter Festival at the African Children's Village proved that diversity is a treasure that is nurtured from childhood. Through the blending of cultures, the sharing of traditions, and the joy of children from all backgrounds, the DaBu la Case Center sowed seeds of respect, unity, and hope for the future.
